Shaun Abrahamson

Co-Founder

Shaun co-founded Third Sphere to help startup founders to build the world beyond climate change. He’s responsible for venture investments, founder coaching and connecting founders to the Third Sphere extended family of customers, investors and partners.

Before Third Sphere (fka Urban Us), Shaun was an active angel investor, investing in more than 20 firms and 3 unicorns between 2007 and 2013 including ZocDoc, Public, Trialpay (acquired by Visa), Refinery29, Skycatch and Tonx (acq Blue Bottle Coffee). During this time, Shaun also led multiple sustainability focused projects like Life Edited to design ultra low GHG apartments in New York City as well as Betacup to cut paper cup waste for Starbucks.

Early stage investing and advising was informed by his experiences building MediaSentry (acquired by SafeNet in 2005), Starmedia Network (acquired France Telecom), govWorks (subject of the documentary Startup.com 2001) and Oculus (spun out of MIT CADLab).

Shaun first started working on climate at the MIT CADLab in 1997, where he focused on connecting different models such as geometric, financial and GHG emissions databases for the design of electric scooters, automotive systems, building energy performance and GHG lifecycle analysis. Shaun has  MBA from Berlin School of Creative Leadership and BSc from University of Cape Town. He is papai to Max and Oli and number one fan of his partner and artist Andrea Nhuch. When he is not at work or with his family, you will most likely find him swimming, Onewheeling or voiding a warranty.
